Rickey Myhand, MD

Dr. Myhand has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. As the son of a career soldier, he grew up on Army bases throughout the US and Germany. His medical career began in the military where he received vast experience in academic and clinical medicine. Dr. Myhand graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY and the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine.

Dr. Myhand has held many clinical and academic positions. Besides providing direct clinical care to his own patients, Dr. Myhand served as teaching faculty training medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows. He was previously the Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center and the San Antonio Military Medical Center. He then served as the Medical Director of the Adena Cancer Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. Pursuing his lifelong dream to be a community oncologist, he practiced in Georgetown, KY prior to relocating to Frankfort.
